Blogger Party Potluck: Cozy Autumn Brunch

When I was a freshman in high school, I read in my yearbook about this group of seniors who called themselves The Breakfast Club. Every Friday, they gathered at one of the members' houses and hosted breakfast before school. They looked so sophisticated drinking coffee, so hip eating poached eggs in their denim jackets. One girl even had a Molly Ringwald haircut, I swear.

I always wanted to be like those seniors, and finally in my 30s, I am. It may not be once a week but my group of pals regularly indulges in potluck brunches. Now that the weather is taking a nosedive (it may snow in the northeast this weekend!) it's the perfect time to cuddle up on your buddy's couch with a big cup of coffee and some filling autumn favorites. If I were hosting this weekend, this is what I would serve.

And if you really want to be cool, tell your friends to come over in their pajamas. Way hipper than  denim jackets.

  1. I would have shared the same envy had a few of high school seniors did the same thing....I can't imagine anything that comforts my soul more than sharing a meal with people you enjoy or a way to meet new people.

    Awesome.

  9. If only I could join you! I can totally relate to feeling like, "I wish I could be a part of that" only to see that it can still happen! I love having weekend brunches with friends. We had one on Saturday, and it was divine.
