I'm glad to say that this year was a great one for me, but I'm also getting eager to wrap up this whole holiday season (sorry, it's true). I feel a little off-balance, off-schedule and off my normal pants size. Cheers to 2012 giving me a swift kick of energy, chutzpah and much-needed motivation. But until then, let's take a quick spin around 2011 one more time.
January--The year got off to a very chilly start in NYC with tons of residual snow leftover from 2010.
February... Chinese New Year Lunar Parade in Chinatown
March--Took a trip to Pennsylvania's Amish Country
April= Flowers...
May= Donuts
June--First trip to the Coney Island Mermaid Parade
and many trips outside the house to savor the best parts of summer.
July--Dad and wife Angie came for a visit to NYC
and I hosted a dinner party for my parents to meet Vin's. (It went well:)
I also took a really fun day trip to Mystic, Connecticut with some girlfriends.
August--Got hit with a major surprise when the counseling
center where I'd worked for 3 years suddenly closed...
but managed to soak up a little more leisurely summer fun before starting my new job a few weeks later.
September--Fell head over heels in love with Barcelona.
and the next month found myself dodging flurries during "SnowTober".
In November, I felt warm and fuzzy with gratitude for a bounty of food and friends.
In December, I visited my hometown in Texas to see livestock and a Victorian Christmas festival.
Then I really got in the spirit of the season at our Ugly Sweater party.
I spent last New Year's in a bedsheet toga. Tonight I'll be at a very small gathering of close
friends in my favorite city in the world. Thanks 2011--you done me right!)
Looks like a magical year! Happy 2012!

Great pics! My husband and I went to Barcelona earlier this year too, and had a great time. And yes, I definitely do feel that time moves faster as I get older... it's kinda scary actually. Hope you have a wonderful 2012!
